Baby Hungry...me?

I am getting the baby munchies...and I can't help myself!!! Ok so Jaxon is almost 8 months old and I can't help but want another one. I am with my sister and her baby almost everyday and it is so fun to hold and cuddle a newborn. There is something about a baby that brings out a different side in people (not saying its a good side all the time) and I love that feeling. I love having a family and taking care of someone who is dependent on me. But there are several reasons that I want to have one right away. One I am not getting any younger, I will be 26 in May that isn't old by any means but that's getting up there for child bearing years. Two I don't want to have my children spread far apart, I would like at least 2 years between my kids. And three I just want one! Now I know Curtis is against this for now, I know he wants one in the future but I don't want to see where we are before we decide to have one. I know there is never a perfect time to have one so I say just go for it. Jaxon has brought so much joy to our lives and it couldn't hurt to add to that. So I guess its true what they say...you will forget the pain of being pregnant and giving birth and especially from me who was super sick, I am willing to do it again!

I Love Spring Fashion!!!

So this has to be my favorite time of year for clothing. Me and my mom have been shopping lately and I love all of the soft floral prints and bright colors. For some reason I have been buying clothes that I normally don't wear, such as lacy shirts, big bold accessories, cardigans, and flats. I am such a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl but I think I am trying to find that girly girl that I have been hiding for so many years. I used to dress up and get all cute all the time, but I guess after getting married and having a child I have lost that. But having sisters and a mom that dress up all the time and are always so girly makes me miss that. Now if I can just get myself to wear skirts and dresses I will have unleashed that girl inside of me!!

Moms little monkey...Growing up so fast!

So Jaxon is almost 8 months old and he is growing like a weed! He has learned so many new things in this past month, its crazy. He has been teething and has been quite onery :( but he has his fifth tooth coming in which means I am starting to ween him. It does not feel so great when I am feeding him and he decides to chomp down on some sensitive woman parts. He has mastered crawling and is getting into EVERYTHING!!! he keeps me on my toes. He has also learned how to pull himself up on to anything he can get his tiny little hands on. We are starting to feed him different types of foods from the table, he eyeballs every bodies food and drink until we give in.
And he loves sweet potatoes, one of his favorites! and he is starting to like yogurt a lot.
Jaxon is such a joy in our lives and I couldnt imagine my life with out my little monkey. I just can't believe he will be 1 in July, I guess that means we get to try for another the end of the year!!! :)

Jaxon's Birthday story

So I decided I wanted to share Jaxon's birth story just so I can remember what happened! (all the pain and drugs kinda makes you forget lol)
So the night before Jaxon was born my sisters, mom, and me went to see Eclipse in theaters (best of the series) it was so much fun having a girls night out. I felt so good and got to actually enjoy the movie (New Moon I was so sick, only a few months prego). So we came home around 11 or so and I went straight to bed, I had a lot to do the next day because I was being induced the day after that. Around 1 a.m. I woke up to some uncomfortable cramps, I really thought I just had to use the bathroom. So I got up twice to use the bathroom and then the cramps started getting worse! I woke Curtis up because I was moaning "my stomach hurts really bad" He knew right away I was having contractions. He got up and started timing them and they were 5-7 minutes apart. So I thought it may be false labor, so I drank water and took a bath and they just got worse! So we packed up and headed to the hospital. Right before we went into the hospital I was so sick from the contractions that I threw up in the parking lot, right in front of paramedics (not my finest couple of minutes). From then I had to go threw maybe two hours of contractions until I got my epidural (HEAVEN!!!) after that I was so happy! The doctor came and broke my water and shortly after that it was time to push. I pushed 3 sets of pushes and my little monkey was here. Born July 1, 2010 at 8:08 A.M. 20 inches long and 7lbs 6 oz. I have to say that labor was so easy, I would do it all over again if I didn't have to be pregnant (you all know how sick I was).
I can't believe that was almost 7 months ago, time sure does fly. But we are so happy to have Jaxon in our lives, he is the greatest thing ever! We love him so much and I can't wait to expand our family down the road.

Got some catching up to do...

So I have been a naughty blogger and have not kept up with it at all! I guess there is not much to say when your a stay at home mom and your life becomes diapers, laundry, and spit up! But its all worth it :)
So Jaxon is almost 7 months old!!! I can't believe how the time flys. He is getting so big, he already weighs about 20 pounds and is wearing 9-12 month old clothes. He is so sturdy and thick, and very long. People think he is around 9 months old, but that's okay I don't want a little tiny baby anyways.
As for me and Curtis we are doing good, he is working off and on for a disaster clean up company. He is also going to school at Dixie and getting his associates in Mechanics.
We are a happy little family and I hope to add one more to the mix sometime next year, and hopefully it will be a girl :)

Life has sure changed!

Its been awhile since I have given any updates on my life, but I am slowly getting back on track. Its been 2 months since Jaxon was born and its been really crazy! Jaxon is the love of my life (sorry Curtis) and I couldn't be happier to be his mommy. He can be a little stinker now and then, we are slowly getting over the colic stage. He is starting to smile and coo more and more, I love it! I love when I come into a room and he hears my voice and knows its his mommy.
Life sure has changed for me and Curtis, having a baby is not easy and to top it off Curtis just got a job that is all over the map (literally) he travels all over southern Utah and has a crazy schedule which makes him work on the weekends sometimes. With that he just started school at Dixie and he is either doing homework or at school. It gets hard because I am with Jaxon all day long, sometimes with no break! But I know it will all be worth it in the end, it just hope that end gets here soon before I go insane. As for me I graduated with an associates degree in medical administration and have no plans to go to work until Jaxon is older. I have considered baby sitting to make some extra money, but not sure if I can handle more than one kid.
As for everything else, well we will see what happens. I will try and post more when I get a chance.

Prego update

So I am 24 weeks along and my belly just seemed to pop out! I am enjoying this part of my pregnancy, I am not that sick anymore and love to feel the baby kick. As far as naming the baby me and Curtis can't decide on a name, he thinks I like really weird names and he doesnt give me any input. So the only name we can decide on is Gavin and he isn't sure he likes that name anymore. So we will see what we come up with!
The doctor says its good I am gaining weight and it seems that all of a sudden I am packing on the pounds. In the beggining I was loosing weight like crazy, I just hope all this weight I am putting on will fall off after the baby is here.
