What I wore {black and red}

What I wore red and black edition

 Had to share this picture with you guys, to cute not to share!

This was Jaxon getting ready to cry, but then nothing happened! Love his pouty face.

Beach Day {Sandhollow}

Isn't summer the BEST!
Last week me and my 2 brothers, sister in law, and my Jax went and played at Sandhollow . It was such a fun day just relaxing by the beach. It was so hot (104) and the water was a perfect 82 degrees!!!
Jaxon seemed to have a blast in the water, but out of the water he was not a happy camper (he fell and hit his poor head on a rock!).
If anyone ever comes down to southern Utah you need to spend a day at this beach!

Sweet Tooth Monday! Fudge Cake

So I found a really fun cooking blog called  Envy My Cooking and they have some fun and great recipes. I thought I would share one with you that I found and am going to try out.

Tunnel of Fudge Cake

1 1/2 c soft butter
6 eggs
1 1/2 c sugar
2 c all purpose flour
1 pkg chocolate fudge butter cream frosting
2 c walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven 350 deg F. Cream butter in large bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually add sugar; continue creaming til light and fluffy. By hand stir in flour, frosting and walnuts til well blended. Pour into greased Bundt pan or 10 in tube pan. Bake 350 deg F 60-to 65 mins. Cool two hours, remove from pan. Cool completely before serving. Since cake has fudgy interior, check doneness by observing dry, shiny brownie-type crust on top. The original recipe called for 1 pkg Pillsbury 2 Layer Double Dutch Fudge Butter cream Frosting Mix This product has since been discontinued. Any chocolate fudge butter cream frosting would work as substitute.

Doesn't that look so good? I am salivating just looking at it!

My Inspiration {Sunsets}

Today I am linking up with Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop.

Lately all I want to do is sit out side and watch the sunset. It is the most beautiful, peaceful, and inspiring moment and a great way to end the day. I live in southern Utah and it's so amazing to watch the red mountains change color in a matter of moments. I think sunsets have a way of calming your spirit and God is letting you know that the day is over and everything is good through him.

Take a moment at the end of the day, relax and watch the art work of God

Favorite things Wednesday {Headbands}

I am not one for getting all dolled up and have found that if you can find the right accessory for your outfit than you will look amazing! I find that adding a little something to your head will take the attention off of whatever you don't want the attention on aka everything from my neck down (baby weight still there!) I love headbands and find that they really go with so many outfits even when I wear sweats!
Headbands have come a long way from what I remember, they seem to be more comfortable and way more stylish.

my favorite is the bird headband...gorgeous!

These headbands I am wearing are my new lovlies I won from the lovely Nikki Heart of Sweetharts Shoppe,  you need to check out her stuff!!!

On a side note I thought I would share my new favorite nail polish of the summer!

Have a AWESOME DAY!!!

Sweet Tooth Monday! Cookie ice cream sandwiches

One of my favorite things about summer is all of the cold sweets, like ice cream. I love ice cream and love to try new things with it. We made some simple cookie ice cream sandwiches which were so good and easy I had to share.

Chunky Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches

Vanilla ice cream (or whatever flavor you love)

So easy a little kid could make these.

Make the chocolate chip cookies (I love the chunk chips)
let cool for about 30 min.
add the ice cream (you decide how much to add) in between two cookies
you can eat while the cookies are still soft and warm (my favorite) or you can freeze like a real ice cream sandwich.
Just a great summer treat that is super easy!
