Day 19- Favorite pictures of myself

I have to say these are some of my favorite pictures of me, I don't really love them for me! But for the beauty of a mom and a sons love. I think these pictures say it all about my love for my baby, and I am so thankful I got to capture these precious moments and have them with me forever :)

Day 18- Something I crave a lot!!!

So one of my favorite places to get the best caramel apples would be Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They have the best stuff ever!! I love their chocolate covered strawberries, the pretzels with caramel inside, and of course the apple pie caramel apple. This thing is so dang good that I can eat a whole one by myself (even knowing the calories are probably really high) and never want to share! I would crave this when I was pregnant and still do. Anytime I go to the outlet mall I have to stop by and get one. So if you have not tried one, you need to!

My sick Easter bunny :(

We got him a little pre made basket and some plastic links, he also got a cute outfit (he is not wearing, we didnt want it ruined with vomit)

we tried to use the bowl to catch the throw up, got sick of cleaning it up off the floor :(

you can see it in his eyes, he does not feel good :(

Got a tiny smirk when he was playing with his toys.
So this was Jaxon's first Easter and the poor guy was so sick! He got sick the day before with a fever and all day vomiting. We have been really lucky so far, this was the first time he has ever been sick and it was a really scary experience for me. I know I am a first time mom and all but it's the worst thing to see your infant so helpless and miserable. We have finally got rid of his fever and he can finally keep food and liquid down, thank goodness!
Easter this year was very different for us, we didn't do anything at all! Jaxon was sick and so was Curtis. My dad was in Salt Lake and it was just the four of us (including my mom). My grandparents invited us over for dinner in which we couldn't go so I stayed at home taking care of my boys and watched Lost. Hopefully next year will be much better.

Day 17- A picture of me and my family

My Family 2011

My husbands side of the family, The Woods (2008)

My side of the family, The Higley's (2009)

So I thought I would share pictures of both sides of my family and share a little bit about them. Well if you all don't know yet my husbands name is Curtis we met in high school and dated for a while then split up and met back up again in 2005 and hit if off and here we are! We have a beautiful son Jaxon who is almost 10 months old and is the most amazing boy ever. We plan on adding 2 more to the mix before we hit our thirties :)

On my side of the family I am the oldest of 5, I have one sister Breanne and three brothers Bryce, Michael, and Jace. I have great parents my mom Dotti and my dad Jaran. I Love Love Love my family to death! We do have additional family members. I have two sister in laws Shayla and Sabrina, they are so much fun and a great addition to the family. I also have 2 nieces Annabelle and Amiah, and one nephew Ethan. They are the most adorable kids ever!!! I would like to think of myself as their favorite aunt CieCie ;)

On my husbands side of the family he is the youngest boy out of 5 kids. Here goes from the oldest Trevor, Shane, Devon, Curtis, and Mary. I also have the greatest in laws Linda and Dean, they have been great second parents to me :) I also have four amazing sister in laws Mary, Deborah, Liz, and a shout out to Bonni who may be reading this ;) and I just so happen to get some additional nieces and nephews; Hailey, Damon, Sarah, Ryan, and Dillon.
So I think I am a pretty lucky girl to have such a big and caring family like I do. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have these people in my life. Love you guys!!! :)

Day 16- Celebrity Crush

Gerard Butler is so so cute! Ever since I saw him in Phantom of the Opera I was crushin! I have seen him in almost every movie he has made even the "shoot em up blow em up" movies. I just love his Scottish accent and fell more in love with him in P.S. I Love You, what a great movie! He also has that crooked smile and those piercing eyes. And of course he just has the whole package, even though he almost old enough to be my dad he is definitely a STUD!!!

Coupon or not to coupon?

So as of a lot of people going through rough financial times, I have to cut back on certain things to save a few pennies. One of our biggest spending problems is grocery shopping. First we make the mistake of shopping when we are hungry, hence buying items that we really don't need. Second we don't shop the ads and the deals. So me and my mom have made every Saturday our crazy shopping day. The beginning of the week I will search for coupons that takes about 2-3 hours, which includes looking through the ads in the mail, Internet, and actually cutting the coupons. But it is well worth it! I have become very organized and we shop about 4-5 stores to get all of our shopping done, it really takes about 3-5 hours just to get all done. So I have learned to see what is on sale, search for coupons for the sale items, and compare prices of other stores. For example I stock up on a lot of toiletries because I can get them on a good deal, right now at Walgreens they have Nivea body wash on sale and I found a $3 off coupon which makes it 79 cents! and I think Walmart has it under $3 so that would make it FREE!!! I have done that with toothbrushes and toothpaste. I will always try and see if I can get the store coupon and the manufactures coupon and combine them. I found a deal on Folgers coffee $1.00 off manufactures and $2.00 off store coupon, I didn't think that was to bad. Now if you don't like to cut out coupons and you shop at Smith's or Albertson's you can download the coupons to your value card which is really cool.
For all of those who don't coupon shop, take it from me it really helps save money and I wish I would have done this a long time ago. I am now saving a couple hundred dollars a month :)

Baby steps

So today was a HUGE milestone for Jaxon. He took his first steps today, and he has been doing it all day. I mean he doesnt just get up and start walking. I have to tempt him with a toy or something and he will walk towards it. He does cruise around with his little walker all by himself and it is seriously the cutest thing EVER!!! I will have to post some video footage of that. So we are that much closer to him walking. I am not surprised that he is doing it so soon, I walked at 10 months so he takes after his mommy ;)
It's so fun being a mom and to experience all of the new things that he does. I can't wait to see what he can do next.

Day 15- Something I don't leave the house without

Well before my days of being a mommy I could never leave the house without makeup, lotion, earbuds, ipod...well you get the idea. Now I seriously can't leave the house with out diapers, wipes, bottle, formula, toys, and whatever else Jaxon needs. I never thought I would be using a diaper bag as a purse, but I guess thats what comes with motherhood. It's all good and is actually nice not to lug around a bunch of stuff everywhere I go. Oh and FYI if your dumping everything into a diaper bag make sure its a nice one that has lots of room. I made the mistake of buying 2 cheap diaper bags and then finally breaking down and buying one that was a little more money and well worth it!

Day 14- Current Tv show addiction

So regular cable isn't doing anything for me these days. Its always the same type of tv shows and it gets really old fast! So I have netflix and decided I would watch a series. I came across Lost and have heard that its pretty good. So I am on season 3 and am totally addicted!!! I can't wait until I put my son down for bed every night and I can watch at least 3 or 4 episodes. Probably why I am so tiered because I stay up until 12 or 1 in the morning. But this show is totally worth it. I love that each episode has some twist of events and how everyone seems connected in some way. If you have not seen this show you need too! :)

My Texas family came to visit!!!

9 Months already?

So my baby boy turned 9 months on April 1st! I can't believe it...he is getting so big so fast. He has had some new milestones already. He can stand up all by himself and balance for a few seconds, usually if he has a toy in his hand he can stand longer. He walks around with his little toy walker (I bought it thinking it may help him walk faster, but he will on his own time) so cute to see him walk with no ones help. He knows what a baba is and can give high fives! oh and he knows no no...well sometimes.
But its so crazy to see him learn all of these new things so fast, he makes me so excited to have another one because I will be so prepared and will know what to do and what not to do with the next one...can't wait!!!
