Camera and pictures

So excited because I finally got my camera! I got a Cannon EOS rebel T3i. I decided I needed a decent camera to take pictures of Jaxon and I thought if I got pretty good at taking and editing pictures that I could start doing it professionally.

So I still have tons to learn with the camera and with photoshop elements! It's all a little overwhelming! Any one know of tutorials on how to learn on the camera/photoshop?

Here are some pictures I took of my baby

California...here I come!

So we got the call from our time share and we get to go to... Cali!!!
We gave up hope thinking we were going to go, but the the 2nd to the last day that we were on the waiting list we got the call. I am so stoked!
I need a vacation so bad that it's not even funny.
We leave in a couple of weeks and get to stay for about a week. We will be staying in Oceanside, which me and my family love. We were hoping to try staying somewhere different this year but we will take what we can get!

I can already envision the smell of the ocean, the sand between my toes, sun on my face, and the sound of the waves crashing on to the shore...awe paradise!

Now let's just hope the weather is nice!
Thanks for all your good thoughts!!!

Inspiration Workshop {Favorite Color...Cerise}

Today is week #13 of inspiration workshops and this weeks prompt is your favorite color. I am such a girly girl and I love purple and pink, but I love purple more! So I thought I would do something fun and do a color combo of the two which is Cerise which is also my name just spelled a little different.

 ce·rise
n.
A deep to vivid purplish red.
[French, from Old French, cherry; see cherry.]

Vegas!

So I went to Vegas last Saturday and it was a fun filled day shopping, shopping, eating, and shopping! So I have to drive almost 2 hours to Vegas to get the up to date current trendy fashion. Here in good ole St. George we have one tiny baby mall with a handful of stores that I like. So we go shopping to Vegas every couple of months or so and I can't tell you how fun it is for me. It's like a kid in a candy store!

We went to the fashion mall and spent about 4 to 5 hours there and then walked the strip down to Caesars palace to eat at the Cheesecake factory. It was like I died and gone to heaven! I love that place so much and got the four cheese pasta (which I shared with my mom, those portions are too big for me) and then we all shared some red velvet cheesecake, yum!

Dumb me forgot my camera so I only took a few pics with my phone.

Taking a break, too much walking!

Love this store :)

So I got a few goodies on my little trip. I made an outfit that I was envisioning the whole time I was shopping. I didn't buy the whole outfit but got the jeans, jacket, and purse.

Beautiful Southern Utah, where I call home.

I just thought I would share this video because it was so beautiful and let you guys take a look around my world :)

FYI- Please press pause on the playlist at the very bottom of my page, so you can listen to the video :)

Inspiration Workshop (Porches)

I wish I lived in the south, you know those huge houses that have the wrap around porches? they are gorgeous!
I just have that image in my head of an older white colonial home with a white porch that wrapped around the whole house. Everyone sitting outside having a bbq or just relaxing with a good book and some ice tea in the summer time, or wrapped up in a blanket with some coffee in the winter.
I think I could live on a porch if it was cozy enough with big couches and lot of pillows, and of course it has to have a swing.
Or sometimes I envision having a house right on the beach with a small porch that overlooked the ocean. Sitting out every morning and taking in the scenery, the smell of the ocean and watching the marine layer burn away in the sun! ahhhh....I am dreamin!
One day even in the hot desert of southern Utah I will get a porch, ill just have to have a lot of fans and some misters put in! ;)

These are my porch dreams

Um...can I have the middle one, it's to freaking cute and I just love the colors.

5 Things my front porch would have

-A lot of seating, and comfy seating
-a table so we could eat on the porch
-good books and magazines
-candles, to make the mood if you need to ;)
-speakers, to listen to music.

Beach Must Haves

Me and my family go to Oceanside, CA every year and this year we don't know if we are going :(
We have a time share and couldn't get our hands on one so we are on a waiting list, and we only have a few more weeks and hoping that someone cancels and we get to go! It will be interesting because our family keeps getting bigger every year. We will have 15 people in a 3 bedroom condo, how can we do that...? blow up mattresses and bed sharing...ha ha.
But it will be so much fun anyways because I miss my family, my whole family is split apart.
My dad lives in Salt Lake (for work) My sister and her daughter live in Phoenix, AZ. And my brother is in the Air force lives in Abilene, TX with his 2 kids living in Salt Lake with their mom. So this is the first time we will have all of us together in like 3 years!

So these are my beach must haves!

1.Banana Boat dark tanning oil, I only use this for maybe 35 minutes and then use sunscreen.

2. Hawaiian Tropic shimmer sunscreen. I love this stuff because it smells so good and gives your skin a soft sun kissed glow.

3. Beach bag...and I want this super cute Billabong day tripper bag
4. Water bottle and these are so cool! Platypus reusable water bottle

5. A fun beach hat, you have to be stylin to go to the beach!

6. Aviator sunglasses, I love these by Jennifer Lopez

7. Love cover ups and I think I want this one by Roxy

8. Comfy flip flops and I adore these Ibiza masquerade

9. Don't forget your lips, they can get sun damage and this stuff rocks. I think I may be addicted to ShakaLaka

10. You can't got to the beach and not play and I love to boogie board. A good board is by Body Glove

so now if I can make it to the beach I will be a happy happy girl!!! Wish me luck :)
