Am I being punished....?

So I have been so down lately...it just seems that things are never working out for us! I love St. George but it seems that ever since we have moved here nothing but bad things have been happening. When I lived in Salt Lake everything was great I owned my own condo, me and my husband at one point had 3 vehicles, we never had to worry about money, and our relationship was at its best. Take all of that away and your literally trying to make it every month it really puts a damper on your mood and relationships. I don't know if we are being punished or if this is a lesson that we need to learn from but I think I have learned as much as I can at this point. ENOUGH already!!!! I just want things to be like they were before and if that means moving out of state to live then so be it. I am ready to do anything at this point. So thanks for letting me vent, even though I didn't give a whole lot of information of whats going on.

Can you say...SLACKER!!!

So I fell way behind on my 30 day challenge :( I went out of town for awhile and didnt have a way to blog. But I have been home for almost a week and still have not felt like blogging. I have been super stressed out and just don't have the energy to think right now. Hopefully this will pass...but I promise to get back on here and start up again.

Day 13- My Favorite Musician

I can't choose one favorite musician because I have so many! and it changes weekly...so to name a few that I am currently obsessed with would be Lady Gaga, Mumford and Sons, Adele, The Band Perry, and Imogen Heap. I know that is such a mixture of music. But I love all type of music and appreciate it. I love an artist who I can relate to and can get into the music, and I mean sing at the top of your lungs and dance around too. So here are a few of the songs from these artists that I LOVE!!!

Day 12- A picture of where I live...St. Geezy!

St. George

Dixie Rock, one of the many popular places to go

Golfing is one of the most popular sports down here.

Sandhollow state park, great for boating, fishing, or just laying out.

30 min. drive to Zions national park

3 hour drive to Grand Canyon

2 hour drive to Vegas

One of the best performing art schools in the World

Petroglyph, seen all over the rocks down here.
So I moved to St. George about 2 years ago and I have to say it is the best place I have ever lived! This place is amazing!!!! First off I have to say when I moved here the first thing I noticed was how clear the sky was, I mean I actually saw blue in the sky. Living in Salt lake you don't notice the color of the sky because you can't see it! I can breath down here it is great. Second would be the weather, the weather is gorgeous. I mean ya it does get hot down here, but I would take 2 or 3 months of super hot weather over 8 months of cold weather any day. I mean the other day it was almost 80 degrees and it was March :) Third would be scenery. I love the red rock, palm trees, and dessert look. This place can be breath taking, especially when the sun hits the red rock. Fourth would be the surrounding areas, as in the pictures above you can be in so many different places in a short period of time. Zions is right around the corner, I can see it from my grandparents house. Vegas is 2 hours away, not to shabby for a fun Vegas shopping day. Grand Canyon is like 3 hours away and worth the drive!!! Also San Diego is like 6 hours away, i mean the beach 6 hours away so totally worth the drive.
I could go on and on but I don't think I will ever move away from this place. But if by chance one day I do, I would really like to move outside of Utah and move somewhere similar to this place. It really feels like home here.

Day 11- What's in my makeup bag?

Sephora illuminator trio
Hard Candy eyeliners
Smashbox eye color trio
Tarte cream blush
Neutrogena Lip balm
Covergirl lashblast
Covergirl trublend liquid base
So here are a few of my favorite things that are in my makeup bag. I just love makeup because it's so fun to create new looks and to almost become a different person. One of my favorite things is to do makeup its art like and creative. I hardly wear it anymore because of a little boy named Jaxon but when I get the chance I get a little carried away. I get dolled up just to go to the store! ha ha....oh the joys of being a stay at home mom.
Mascara is Covergirl lashblast, I love this because it goes on smoothly and doesn't clump or flake throughout the day. It also gives your eyelashes a longer thicker effect.
Liquid base is Covergirl trublend, I have to tell ya I switched from Neutrogena perfect match makeup to this and what a difference. This liquid base goes on so smooth it feels like I am not wearing any makeup at all! love it.
Blush is Tarte cream blush (found at Sephora) I use both the cream blush and powder. But if you want more of a soft summery look I recommend this because it gives your cheeks a light soft color. It goes on so smooth and a little goes a long way.
Eyeshadow is Smashbox eye trio (found at Sephora) When I use eyeshadow I normally try and do a light smokey eye and I always use pinks and dark purples. This is great for a night out or just for everyday use.
Eyeliner is Hardcandy, I have so many colors because I hate using black all the time. I try and switch it up depending on my mood or the outfit I will be wearing. My favorite colors is the teal and purple!
Illuminator is made by Sephora, I love love love this!!! I always wear a shimmery illuminator it gives your skin a soft sun kissed glow, great for any time of year.
Lip balm is neutorgena, this stuff is great. You can wear this by itself when you want a hint of color or wear it over your favorite lipstick for a added glossy look.

Day 10- A photo of your favorite place to eat

Thai Lettuce wraps
Chinese Chicken salad
Caribbean Cooler
Dulce De Leche Cream cheesecake

So one of my favorite places to eat is the Cheesecake Factory. I love this place because there is a big selection of food and the portions are pretty generous if you have a big appetite. I listed a few of my favorite things that I like to get when I go. The Thai lettuce wraps are so delicious, they are almost a meal all by themselves. The Chinese chicken salad is enormous and the lettuce and chicken they use is so fresh and the dressing has a little kick, makes me want one right now! I love the selection of drinks but one of my favorite is the Caribbean cooler, so sweet and tangy. And last but not least is the Dulce De leche cream cheesecake, I love this because its not overdoing it with the sweet :) Just wish I had a Cheesecake factory here in St. George, I have to travel 2 hours to Vegas to get one.

Day 9- A picture of a item I last purchased.

Ok so I just noticed that the last post should have been day 8 instead of 9, just wanted to clear that up for ya.
So anyways the last thing that I purchased was this spring dress from Downeast basics (they are having a 20% off skirts and dresses this week). I bought this dress because I am going to my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and they are renewing their vows and I needed a dress. I owned dress clothes once upon a time when I worked at Founders title company and gave them away when I had Jaxon (I gained weight and decided I would never wear them again). So I choose this dress because it is flattering for my body type and its modest (Living in Utah, modest is best!) I am not to thrilled about dressing up in March because it will be freezing! But I am excited to put Jaxon in his little "church clothes" my mother in law got him the cutest little outfit for Christmas and I have been waiting for the right occasion to dress him up. I will post pictures! :)

Day 9- A song to describe my mood

So today was a fun day it was almost 80 degrees in St. George and it made me want summer so bad! So I got out my flip flops took a drive and opened the sun roof and listened to some good music. I love this song and sing it over and over in my head. It's just one of those feel good songs that make you want to dance. Enjoy! :)

Day 7- My dream wedding

So of course everyone that has been married thinks about what they would have done different if they could get married all over again. I think I had such a beautiful wedding and I loved it. But if I could have a do over I would definitely get married on the beach like in Mexico, Hawaii, or the Caribbean. I just love the look of the water and the white sand, its the perfect romantic setting. I also love the fact that you are at your honeymoon destination!

Day 6- A animal that I would love to keep as a pet

So all of you who know me knows how much I love animals. So this would have to be my dream animal because I think pigs are so adorable. I would love to have a pop belly pig, just because you can train them just like dogs and they are very clean animals. But you have to admit they are so stinking cute, just like this one.

Day 5- A photo of myself two years ago.

So this picture is not exactly two years old but close it was taken May 2009 (close enough). It is one of my favorite pictures because it reminds me of when I first moved to St. George and was actually really enjoying life. This is when things were really good, not going to get into it. But things are good now, just not great! can't dwell on the past, got to look towards the future :)

Day 4- A favorite photograph of a best friend

So this is one of my favorite pictures of my best friend...my mom. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother and best friend. We have become very close the past couple of years, we do everything together. We go shopping, running errands, cook, clean, and just mother daughter stuff! I think this picture is one of my favorite because it shows her true beauty. Love you mom!

Day 3-My idea of the perfect first date

So to me the perfect first date would have to be something hands on and of course would have to involve FOOD! I think it would be so fun to taking a cooking class on the first date, I think it would totally break the ice and its a fun way to be creative together, and its something that both would enjoy. I think having a more interactive first date will make you get to know the person better than say going to the movies. I have gone to the movies on a first date and its a little weird because you get to talk for like 15 min before the movie starts and after that nothing! and I am not one for sappy dates like walking on the beach hand in hand or candle light dinner. Just something fun and not awkward :)

Day 2- A picture of something I ate today

So I had to do 2 posts today because I fell behind a day and I just started! But today I had lunch with my mom and brother and living in St. George, Utah nothing is ever open on a Sunday so we felt like eating rice and chicken and found that Jack in the Box has some really good Teriyaki bowls, not as good as Rumbi (which by the way for all you St. Georgians we are getting one here soon!!!) I LOVE Rumbi, so if you like Teriyaki bowls go out and try these :)

Day 1- A picture of myself and what I did today

So this is a picture I took in the car and I thought I would add in a little cuteness with my little monkey in the background!
So today was a iffy day. I woke up early to the sounds of Jaxon talking to his stuffed animal in his crib and couldn't resist how cute he sounded so I thought I would go play with him. We went and had lunch with my mom and brother and after went to the park. Jaxon LOVES the swings, its like his new thing and we found the cutest park in Bloomington. Then after that we went grocery shopping (never fun, especially at Walmart) but I started to notice that Jaxon was not feeling so well. He has been spitting up a lot and it smells really sour and he has been running a little fever :(. This is the first time he has ever been sick and it makes me really sad, but I think we did good considering he is 8 months old and never been sick. I am hopefully on the down hill slide of being sick and I think he got it from me and I got it from my brother (thanks Jace!). But all in all it was a pretty good day! Here are a few pics of Jaxon on the swings.
